Bash on WindowsでMySQLを入れたらエラーが出て起動できなかった話

Bash on WindowsでMySQLをインストールし、実行しようとしたところ

ERROR ｔ002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

とエラーを吐き実行できなかった。 解決策を検索したところ既にGitHubのBashOnWindowsリポジトリにissueが立っていた。

これを参考にしターミナルでsudo /etc/init.d/mysql startを実行したところMySQLが実行できるようになり解決。
